How much does FoodyOS cost?
Flat $149 per restaurant per month, everything included — POS, kitchen display, floor + hostess, your own online-ordering website, in-house delivery dispatch, loyalty, inventory, customer database, ESC/POS thermal receipt + kitchen-ticket printing, and Apple Wallet loyalty passes. No tiers, no add-on creep, no resold processing margin, month-to-month, BYO hardware. White-glove onboarding, a dedicated point of contact, and a written SLA are available as a service on request — not a pricier plan. See /us/pricing for the full breakdown and side-by-side calculator.
What does FoodyOS replace in my current stack?
FoodyOS replaces (or consolidates) your POS, kitchen display, online-ordering site, hostess/waitlist tool, loyalty program and bulk-WhatsApp marketing tool — typically 4–6 separate vendors today. You keep your payment processor and your accounting tool.
How is FoodyOS different from Toast or Square?
FoodyOS is software-first — you bring your own iPads or Android tablets, no Toast-branded hardware required, no multi-year contract. We also include AI ordering on WhatsApp / SMS as a first-class channel, which neither Toast nor Square offer natively.
Do you charge a per-order commission?
No. Direct orders on FoodyOS are commission-free. Marketplace orders (DoorDash, Grubhub, UberEats) still pay their own commissions through their own platforms — but every direct order from your own site or WhatsApp is yours.
Can I keep using DoorDash / Grubhub for delivery?
Yes. Most operators run a hybrid: marketplaces for customer acquisition, FoodyOS for retention. Our /us/foodyos-vs-grubhub page walks through how to shift the mix.
What payment methods does the public ordering site accept?
All payments — online checkout, tableside tap-to-pay, in-person card swipes — go through your own Stripe account. Customers pay with Apple Pay, Google Pay, or any major card. Stripe processes; funds settle directly to your bank.
How long does onboarding take?
Most single-location restaurants are live in under a day. Multi-location rollouts run 1–2 weeks per location with our onboarding team. We migrate your menu, customers, and inventory from your prior system.
Do you offer hardware?
No — and that's deliberate. FoodyOS runs on iPads, Android tablets, or any modern web browser. Use the hardware you already have. We can recommend specific tablet models that work well in kitchens, but we don't sell you anything.
What kind of contract do I sign?
Month-to-month. No multi-year commitments. Cancel any time and export your data — menus, customers, orders are all yours.
Do you support multi-location?
Today, FoodyOS is one restaurant per account at $149/mo per restaurant — multiple locations run as separate accounts. Native multi-location ownership (one login managing several restaurants with consolidated reporting, unified loyalty across sites, and per-location staff in a single back-office) is on our roadmap and ships without re-pricing existing customers. If you operate 3+ locations and want a coordinated rollout plan, talk to us — we'll coordinate the onboarding.
Can my restaurant have its own URL for the ordering site?
Yes. Your storefront lives at order.your-restaurant.com (or whatever subdomain you choose) and is fully customized with your brand, photos, and menu — three template options to start.
What does the WhatsApp AI actually do?
Customers message your business WhatsApp number; the AI greets them, takes the order, suggests upsells, calculates total, and queues the order for cashier confirmation. ~90% of orders complete without human intervention. Your team only steps in for unusual cases (allergens, complaints, custom requests).
Do you have an SLA?
We target 99.9% uptime on the platform. A written SLA with uptime credits is available as a service on request — not a separate tier. Status page lives at /resources.
Who owns the customer data?
You do. Your tenant data is isolated from every other restaurant's. Export at any time. We don't use your tenant's data to train global AI models.
Whose Stripe account processes my payments?
Yours. Each restaurant connects its own Stripe account during onboarding (or we help you create one). All payouts go directly from Stripe to your bank — FoodyOS never sits in the money flow. You get Stripe's published rates with full transparency, not a marked-up resold rate, and you can always pull your data out of Stripe directly. We made this choice on purpose: it removes us from the payment mix, removes hidden margin, and keeps your finances auditable end-to-end.
Does FoodyOS work for quick-service, full-service, or both?
Both. The platform is opinionated about high-volume operations — peak Friday-night service is the design target — so it works equally well for a busy taqueria, a 200-cover full-service restaurant, or a multi-location pizza chain.
