How the math works
Marketplace commissions are charged on the full ticket value, including taxes and fees. A $50 pickup order on DoorDash at 6% costs you $3 in commission. The same $50 order on Grubhub Direct at 10% costs $5. The same order through your own FoodyOS ordering site, processed online by Stripe at 2.9% + 30¢, costs $1.75.
The calculator multiplies your monthly order volume by your average ticket and applies each rate. Stripe’s 30¢ per-transaction fee is multiplied by order count. The “break-even” cell shows how many months of savings cover the flat $149/mo FoodyOS subscription — which on most volumes is well under one month.
